Et voici donc la 1ère soirée en pays Helvétique avec les amis d’un peu partout. Dingue quand même quand on y pense. Il a pas fallu grand chose. L’idée, le concept, le principe de se connaître, de s’apprécier, de se retrouver, de discuter, de former jour après jour un petit groupe qui s’entend de manière plus ou moins cohérente. Drôle. L’histoire de ma vie. 19 déménagements dans ma vie. Redevenir social, redevenir sociable, se reconstruire à chaque déménagement. Mais à priori j’y arrive plus ou moins à chaque fois. A voir la date de mon prochain week end dispo, je me dis que oui, je m’ennuie pas et que je suis quand même bien entouré.. Toujours est il que ce soir… Seesmeetup en Suisse, alors qu’il y a une majorité de non Suisse qui à fait le déplacement.. Allez comprendre

The Tellers
Bruksellive ‘08 edition. A free music festival. A one day shot, a nice idea. Right next to one of the symbol of Belgium had being held this Bruksel live edition. What’s the story behind it? Don’t really know, except the front speakers speak Flamish, which makes me hard to laugh at the jokes they are saying ^^ . In the « theâtre de verdure », everything here is set up for a nice evening/nite. With a majority of Belgium bands obviously, but doesn’t matter, I’m used to the quality pop/rock sound Belgium can create. The 1st part of the evening will be The Tellers and Puggy, already saw the last one for the « Fête de la Musique » a month ago.

Y’a des jours comme cela, il y a des idées comme cela. Le principe de se retrouver en Suisse, admettons. Le fait de venir des 4 coins de France et de Navarre (aucun lien avec le commissaire) alors qu’on se connait que depuis quelques mois passons. Mais l’idée de le faire en voiture, est juste excellente Différentes raisons à cela, pas nécessairement intéressantes maintenant que c’est passé, même si rien que pour la 3ème journée, ca valait le coup de partir comme cela. Nous voilà, à Paris, après mon arrivée le jeudi soir en train, prêt à partir sur le coup de 11/12h direction l’Helvétie. Ce n’était que le début d’un road trip de Meuh meuh, d’au revoir, du doubs traversé un nombre record de fois, de déviation, et de g33kitude absolue.

les Ardentes 2008
So it was the time for the French Singer « Camille ». What do I know about her? not much I have to say. For me, she’s from the generation of new « French singer who have lyrics that are nice, and are never, willingly or not, to have 2 or more instruments in their tracks ». Guess after the real nice demonstration I was going to experience that I was far away from that. Should have listen to one of my ex who was only talking about her a while ago. Camille is now at is, I think, 3rd record, and we can see than on stage, she do more than the job.

So here I am, clearly frustrated by the security guy at the entrance… ewww… C’mon… I love photo, not my fault… 
So after the awesome Flogging Molly Concert… Just went to ask « but well, ya know, it’s a small camera, and I see some in here that are 4 times the size… » the lady « well.. ok… if it’s not too big »…. The camera is not don’t worry. It’s the eye of the photographer behind it that’s needed ^^ (right now, u can just throw flowers at me, no biggy). So here I was, on the tracks where going to be Empyr, Brisa Roché and Yael Naïm…

Flogging Molly
OK… so here we go for the 1st day at the « Ardentes » Music Festival in Liège, Belgium. 4 days, and a lot of good people coming in what is not that of a big city. Just love the idea. Going with a friend, and to sum up. Dat was just a nice first day, really (even if we argued about some artists with my friend). Yes, we had problem finding our way from Brussels to the Music fest, but that was worth it. The number of good artists was enough to make us not even care about the rainy moments. We arrived. Flogging Molly arrived on stage. Already saw them @ Ancienne Belgique. And THAT is definitively something.

Donc ce soir, les Counting Crows, ceux qui en tout et pour tout n’ont connu qu’un seul succès radiophonique avec « Mr Jones » est de passage à l’AB, la salle que j’aime sincèrement et où j’ai vu Plain White T’s, The Cult, KT Tunstall, The Kills, et les Flogging Molly.. Ce soir, je m’y attendais, mais pour de nombreuses raisons, le plaisir allait être présent… Non seulement pour ce qui se passait sur la scène, que ce qu’il se passait un tout petit peu plus bas, dans la foule, toute acquise à ce groupe qui, hormi le talent, possède un cœur qu’il aime partager… Une opération à cœur ouvert vers les sentiments et un petit bout de bonheur en terre Bruxelloise…
So, tonite, the Counting Crows, those who have, true story, only one hit single with « Mr. Jones » are coming to the AB, the concert place I’m secretly in love with. Since February, I saw The Plain White T’s, The Cult, KT Tunstall, The Kills, and the Flogging Molly.. that’s a nice ration Gig/month I think Tonite, I was expecting it, but, for many reasons, pleasure will be there… Not only for what was going on for the Stage, but also a little bit lower, in the crowd, that was in love with those musicians.. Like a open heart surgery towards feelings and a small piece of heaven in Brussels area…
